A promising alumnus of the prestigious National School of Drama (NSD), today Boloram is making his mark in mainstream Hindi films and TV. Later, I found out that NSD has given some of the greatest actors to the country like Nasseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Anupan Kher and Irrfan Khan. Consequently, I applied and got through the NSD entrance in 2006,” says Boloram.

But off the stage, Boloram has quite many behind the camera experiences too, some of which being quite notable. Currently, he is featured in a Hollywood film called The Black Russian which was released in the USA in 2012 but is yet to hit the screens in India. He has also been seen playing an essential role in the 2014 Indian movie Badlapur Boys where he was casted alongside actor Annu Kapoor. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu.

Amongst several TV commercial ads he has appeared in, Boloram had the opportunity to share screen space with none other than Amitabh Bachchan for a Parle Goldstar Biscuit ad.
Talking about his experiences so far, Boloram says, “Bollywood is a place where everybody needs to struggle but I feel if you have talent, you will definitely be recognized. Till now, I have done many TV ad films and have also featured in illustrious TV shows like Crime Patrol and Yudh directed by Anurag Kashyap. So, it has been a good start.”

Recently having completed shoot for his first Assamese feature flim, Antareen, Boloram notes the film’s significance. “It is my first Assamese film. So, it is very close to my heart. The flim Antareen is beautifully directed by Monijul Baruah and it will be released by the end of this year; I am playing an important role in this film,” he points out.
Boloram who has worked in more than thirty plays till now has his hands on something very interesting at the moment. He recently Directed a play, Mayongor Bez performed in Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati on the 20th of Feb. Mayongor Bez is a play that deals with Mayong Gaon and its belief on black magic.
